Jail Visitation

Clay County Jail visiting hours are Sunday and Wednesday from 1pm-4pm for local inmates and Saturday from 1pm-4pm for Out of County inmates.

Visitation is limited to immediate family members of the inmate (parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, and children) and a visitor may only visit once per week. 

The following rules will be observed during visitation:

  • No loud or profane language
  • No revealing clothing
  • Outside items are not allowed to be brought in for an inmate, however cash may be placed on their commissary account.
  • All visitors must show positive proof of identification and fill out the sign in sheet
  • Visits will be limited to 30 minutes per inmate and will take place in the visitation booth.

Visitation application must to be submitted 48 hours before visitation and must have an approval; no exceptions.  Visitation applications can be picked up from the Clay County Law Enforcement Center.
