Overview
The County Clerk is an elected position. The Clerk's Office provides a wide range of services to the County and citizens. The County Clerk also works closely with the Board of County Commissioners and records minutes of the meetings.

- Accounts Payable for the entire county
- Annual Mill Levy Sheets
- Certified Population Figures for Clay County
- Issues moving permits for houses
- Commissioner Districts (PDF)
- Maintaining election records and proceedings including: candidate fillings, voter registration, ballot preparation and election worker training
- Our office offers a wide variety of real estate information
- Maintains records for Vital Statistics research
- Sells most licenses and permits offered by Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism
- The County Clerk's Office reviews all budgets for legal limits and sets levies for:
- The County
- County Rural Highway
- 8 Cities
- 7 Fire Districts
- 31 Cemetery Districts
- 1 Hospital District
- 1 Drainage District
- 1 School District
