Conservation 2008 Buffer Tour

2008 Buffer Tour September 4, 2008

Are you interested in learning more about how the Continuous Conservation Reserve Programs (CCRP) can work on your farm or in knowing better how you can contribute to reduced erosion, improved water quality and enhanced wildlife habitat?

The Conservation District is planning an educational tour/meeting on water quality issues and CRP practices that are available in Clay County. The event will be held in northern Clay County on September 4, 2008. Water runoff issues will be discussed as well as details on each of the applicable CCRP practices including program requirements, management recommendations, environmental benefits and program payments. There will also be a tour and presentation of filter strip, field boundary and riparian buffers by local producers on their farms.

Please watch for details as the date approaches and contact the Conservation District Office if you are interested in attending.
