Commissioner Spicer, Commissioner Mayo, and Commissioner Thurlow were present at a regular meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. Bills in the amount of $4,395.74 were reviewed and approved.

The Board signed a Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Architect with PBA Architects, Wichita, Kansas to proceed with the Master Plan for Renovation and Restoration of the Clay County Courthouse.

Steve McAnally, County Appraiser, informed the Board that he met with the Clay Center City Building Committee and other interested parties to decide how the property at the West end of Blunt Street should be handled. The discussion was tabled with no decision.

Commissioner Mayo made the motion to donate $500 to the Oak Hill City Fall Festival and the Community Christmas Party out of the Alcohol Fund. Commissioner Thurlow seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Deb Mohler, USD 379 Wakefield Counselor and Abbey Wagner, SADD President, met with the Board to ask for a donation to help with Red Ribbon Week for all schools within of USD 379. This program is to help provide drug and alcohol awareness activities for the kids. Commissioner Mayo made the motion to donate $1300 for Red Ribbon Week out of the Alcohol Fund. Commissioner Thurlow seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Linda Mein, Clay County Park, met with the Board to give a summary report on the income and expenses of the Clay County Park.

Jami Williams, Economic Development Director, updated the Board on several Economic Development issues within Clay County.

Steve Liby, Highway Administrator, met with the Board. With all of the rain that we have received in our County, there are problems with washing rock off of the roads and washing away roads. Last week the department spent time grading the roads and hauling rock, now there will have to be repairs done again

The Board adjourned at 12:25 p.m.
