Commissioner Spicer, Commissioner Mayo, and Commissioner Thurlow were present at a regular meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. The minutes were approved as printed.
Arnie Knoettgen, Maintenance, met with the Board to discuss the need of hot water on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse. The Board requested that Mr. Knoettgen look into this matter and report back with the cost of this project.
Commissioner Mayo made the motion to pay the 2009 North Central Regional Planning Commission dues in the amount of $3,500. Commissioner Thurlow seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Thurlow made the motion for the Chairman to sign the Exhibit B#278-09-01 for IBM annual renewal with Computer Information Concepts in the amount of $1,200. Commissioner Mayo seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Board signed the first half of NRP refunds. 08NRP01-08NRP127 in the amount of $162,826.90.
Permission was granted for the County Clerk to attend a two day training in Topeka for new County Clerk’s Orientation on February 19th & 20th.
The Board visited with Randy Gassman, County Auditor and Randy Allen, Kansas Association of Counties by phone about the concerns of State Funding that is possibly being cut and how this will effect our County.
Refund/Abatement 08RA12 in the amount of $13.01 was reviewed and approved by the Board.
Chuck Dunn, Sheriff, met with the Board to give his weekly report. Also, Sheriff Dunn asked if it would be possible to track the funds that are collected for the work release program. This will be done by assigning a project code to these funds when they are deposited.
