DID YOU KNOW Clay County Medical Center will be offering a CPR/AED & First Aid class on Tuesday, January 3 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the education centers. The course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. The cost is $85 which includes the textbook. For more information or to register please call Kendra Schurle at 785-632-2144, ext. 254. DID YOU KNOW Pinsetters Bowling Center is starting a 9-WEEK MIDDLE SCHOOL BOWLING LEAGUE! Nothing for your kids to do during the off season? This is the perfect fit. Bowling is something kids can do their whole life and with people of any age and skill level. This league will meet each Tuesday afternoon starting January 9th and go through March 6th (ends before track starts). Youth will get to bowl three games each week. We will try to start at 3:45 and should be done by 5:30 p.m. Eight dollars a week covers your three games and shoe rental. Kids can choose their own teams and we will see who becomes the best bowlers in the middle school! We will have a cosmic bowling party on the last week and award trophies for various achievements. Youth can sign-up outside the office or call Teia at (785)630-0708 to sign-up or with questions. We will also have an informational meeting at the school prior to the league starting.

DID YOU KNOW Clay County Medical Center's Stroke Support Group will meet on Tuesday, January 17 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. in the hospital’s education centers. DID YOU KNOW The Clay County Medical Center will be offering a one-day childbirth education class on Saturday, January 21 from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. in the education centers. This class is free of charge for all CCFP and Special Delivery patients. Any patient not being served by CCFP or Special Delivery will be charged $40. All expecting mothers and support persons are welcomed. This course covers a variety of topics including: signs of labor, stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, pain management, postpartum care, care of infant after delivery and infant CPR. Republican Valley Produce (RVP) is an online Farmers Market, the first of its kind in Clay Center. We offer fresh homegrown produce, meats, baked goods and jams and jellies. RVP is a group of farmers who are reaching out to those too busy to visit a Farmers Market or those who just like to sleep in on Saturdays. You can order what you want and pick-up your items on Tuesday evenings in Clay Center or Wednesday evenings in Manhattan. We sell winter hardy produce every week until Christmas and then every two weeks until May.
