The city of Clay Center’s Fall Clean up begins Monday, October 24th, starting in the north end of city, working south. Trash is to be divided into piles of tree limbs, yard waste, metals, lumber and general household waste (includes stuffed furniture). Items that cannot be accepted are tires, batteries, and household hazardous waste. Citizens may use this opportunity to dispose of their old trash cans. Citizens who haul their trash to the landfill during this time will be charged the normal landfill rates.
